Black Metaller Ukiyo-e

I love Japanese ukiyo-e prints and Norwegian black metal.I realized that ukiyo-e and black metal album covers and photos have a lot of similarities graphically. A lot of the ukiyo-e I like are of characters, usually actors, with facepaint on the mouth and eyes, posed in emotional gesutures. Sound familiar to black metal album art? I did this lino-cut to try to merge the two together. I am thinking of making some more images in this style, of the Norwegian band Immortal.
